WordPress won't update from within the dashboard

If you have problems updating WP, and are finding you have to do it manually because its getting stuck at the “Downloading update” when you try do it automatically from within WordPress. This means you don’t have PHP5 enabled on your web server. After you switch it to 5 the updates will work.
