There are a a lot of windows shortcut keys out there, but there are a few I use each and every day – cut, copy, and paste. They work with most anything you do in Microsoft Windows. How you use these shortcut keys is by:
– SELECTING the item (be it text, files, etc)
– PRESSING and HOLDING CTRL
– Then PRESS the desired shortcut key
CTRL + C = Copy (Make a COPY of the SELECTED item)
CTRL + X = Cut (CUT the SELECTED item)
CTRL + V = Paste (PASTE the ITEM)
This works for moving blocks of text in MSWORD, moving pictures and files, coping URL’s. It works for anything you might want to copy, and even some things that you might not. Try it out it will make you much more productive.
